About Comfort Keepers
Bob and Sandra Henriksen opened the Tualatin Comfort Keepers office after Bob was inspired to begin his career in home care by his brother, who for more than two years provided full-time, in-home care for their mother before she passed away at age 86. He founded the office, wanting to provide this same kind of loving care for others, fulfilling for them the same wish his mother had, to continue living at home.
Sandra brings to the Comfort Keepers office empathy for seniors’ concerns, which she developed as a geriatrics care nurse. In addition, she brings to the office a strong understanding of and commitment to Comfort Keepers’ special brand of senior care, as she served for five years on Comfort Keepers’ corporate staff.
Bob and Sandra Henriksen, Tualatin entrepreneurs were recently awarded the ‘Operational Excellence’ award by CK Franchising, Inc, the franchisor of Comfort Keepers. Bob and Sandra Henriksen were recognized at the Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony during the Comfort Keepers® Leadership Conference held in Boca Raton, Florida.
This was the first year for this prestigious award which recognizes operational excellence in quality of service delivery. The Henriksen’s, owners of Comfort Keepers of Tualatin, Woodburn and Salem, received the award from the company’s support office in Dayton, Ohio and were selected from over 650 Comfort Keepers franchises nationwide. Criteria for the award include overall client satisfaction for quality service, caregiver satisfaction, and community involvement.
“This is indeed an honor,” said Sandra, “To be recognized not only by our clients, but also by our family of caregivers who provide the type of personal care that is the hallmark of Comfort Keepers, the local communities in and around Tualatin,we serve… it just doesn’t get any better than that.”
Comfort Keepers, a growing franchise offering in-home care, and services for seniors and others needing assistance, allows clients to live comfortable and independent lives. The Henriksen’s have owned the Tualatin Comfort Keepers franchise for 5 years.
Comfort Keepers Tualatin Turns 5!
The 5 Year Award was presented to Comfort Keepers of Tualatin "In appreciation of our Dedicated Service and Support in Providing Comforting Solutions for In-Home Care. We are going strong and hope to continue doing so for years to come!
Wow, That's A Lot of Nuts!
It was an amazing time at one of our client’s home! A big thanks goes out to Kevin Cortez, Daneea Wardell, Heidi Kriesel, Carolyn Legget and her sweet little boy, Henry. We raked leaves and were able to gather about 200lbs of walnuts so the client can carry on the tradition of shucking, cracking and turning those walnuts into tasty treats over the winter.
Comfort Keepers Mission
Our mission is to provide our clients with the highest level of quality of life that is achievable. We shall treat each of our clients with the respect and dignity they deserve, as though we were caring for a member of our own family.
The special people who deliver our unique brand of in-home senior care (We call them Comfort Keepers®.) are carefully selected, screened, and trained to provide professional, compassionate care.
Interactive Caregiving™ is based on four primary pillars, which Comfort Keepers leverage to care for, engage, and interact with our clients:
- An active senior mind promotes independence, better mental and physical health, happiness, and a longer life.
- A physically active senior maintains strength and independence, lessening or delaying the effects of aging.
- A well-nourished senior is more energetic, both physically and mentally.
- A safe senior lives in an environment that reduces the likelihood of accidents and promotes timely response when illness or accidents occur.
With our Interactive Caregiving approach, we are able to raise seniors’ quality of life to a much higher level than typical in-home care providers.
